What is Hot Rock -95 VDI? I get tons and tons of it registering in my yard
 
The best way to find out is to just dig up a sample. If you can't find it it could be a type of mineralization in your soil. Maybe black sand. There are ways to make your detector stop registering these signals if they are unwanted. You could ground balance your detector over one of these targets and then lock the ground reading, and your detector should run smoother. Electric lines can sometimes wreak havoc on the mxt to if the gain is set to high in certain areas. Just my ten cents. Im sure someone else will reply with more indepth info. HH Jason
