i went back to the park and hunted along the river in the sand got a few pennys and a dime want to the camping spots and fire pot was getting lots of pennys and nickles a sure sihgn that someone els was hunting whith the disc on coin mode so i dug many pop tops and sinkers, was not a very fruitfull day , when i got home i trapped 3 gophers for a total of 5.25$ so im still doing better traping gophers one had the adasity to dig right in the front yard i got him this is the time of the year when the baby gofers find new ground i also went detecting in the middle of the open feald found some old sqair nails will keep up the posts gun r

Did you ever think about why there are square nails in the field. You need to research and MD that area better.

no i have not but thats what im finding lots of them even in the river along whith cast iron stove parts im starting to wonder why so much old stuff is coming out of the feald in one erea stuff is coming up in gopher mounds not to mention an ocasional arrow head

Keep at it Gunnar. There's a reason why you are finding square nails, and old stove parts, etc. There's got to be more there. HH and good luck. You can keep those gophers. They can tear up a yard BIG TIME!!!
