Been kinda quiet lately on here. Between work and t-hunting, I have not had much time. Hope everyone is doing well this weekend. Went for a spin friday night at a clean surf area with Huntress where I borrowed her Mark II. Hunted this surf area from 8p-930p through a -0.9L at 918p. Winds have not been favorable for us (se10-15). Ended up with $.16 from this area. Moved to a surf area on the seawall at 945p and hunted with the Excal till 12a and ended up with $2.33 and a .925 bracelet which at 1 time apparently was gold plated. More posts coming as I am behind.

Then on saturday evening at 630p Huntress and I began hunting into a 10p -0.9L SE10-15. I was running the Mark II and she ran the Wader. There were some of Galveston's finest surf pirates there for this occation. coastwise, Spanky, John and Robert were all there with us and giving it a swing in the lane and mine. Ended up with $.27 in clad, ferrous choker necklass, a couple of ferrous chain links, stainless bead necklace (dog tag type). I did not see much recovery to speak of from anyone, but coastwise with a silver ring. Then coastwise came over to me around 8 or 830 and he is bleedin' from his hand BIG TIME! He did not wear his gloves and laid his finger open on his new stainless scoop. He went on home to get bandaged up. We headed to a different location with Spanky & John and started hunting. Was running the Excal here as this surf area was more trashy. Began hunting around 845p and bailed around 1a. Ended up with a stainless dog tag (medical apparently), unmarked non-ferrous heavy hoop earring, .925 hoop earring and a dinosaur mood ring. and $1.89 in clad from this location. Goldless in Galveston, but at least there is some jewelry being found, we just need the quality to step up a bit. I am still behind as I don't have pics of tonights hunt yet. Will post it in the am. Good luck to all!

I especially like the digger now if you can just find the detector that came with it.
Seriously, you guys have got to be close to gold just on effort alone. Damn the Torpedoes! Full speed ahead!
You are one persistant pair of pirates.

BDA:cool:
