.925 kinda' day.....Excal Envy

Gulf Hunter

Active member
Arose at 6am for the morning hunt. Arrived at the lane at 7am with Gulf Huntress. She was not a player for surf hunting as the water and air temps were around 60, so she was looking for loot in the dry stuff . It was overcast and gloomy and kinda' slow. Picked up a few coins and the .925 cross w/cz's, 1 large ferrous hoop and an unmarked toe ring. Total clad count was $1.10. Decided to try a different location for the rest of the day and quit around 10am, winds ssw into a 10am -0.9L.

Then we began hunting again at around 1030am at a different location and it was real trashy as ya'll can see. That's where "Excal Envy" comes into play. I was having flashback nightmares of coastwise out there going "got another 1", and I'm digging nails. Gulf Hunter may be closer to being on Team Excal than you can imagine. Anyway, the .925 spinner ring showed 30 minutes into the hunt and then a couple of hours later the 26" .925 rope chain, which I wore for bait
the rest of the hunt. No clad, but I got some NAILS. Quit around 3pm.

Nails have a double beep, You can tell you are going to dig a nail most of the time. However, I have dug the nail & then found a Seiko watch 6 inches away. I still like my Mark II, I need to dig everything. Just for curiosity sake.
