Mrs. Hawkeye and I went for a hunt this afternoon and we're on our quest to find 100 silvers for the year..........today we got numbers 90, 91, and 92....a 1926 Merc, a 1957 Rosy, and a 1928-D Merc.....only eight more to go, but the weather is getting colder and the window for hunting here in NE Iowa is closing fast. I found the Davy Crockett ring and the Mrs. found the cubic zirconia diamond earing in a sterling setting.

A cool but fun day digging in the dirt :twodetecting:

Hawkeye Jim.

Great job Jim! At your rate you will be hitting the 100 mark with just a couple/few more hunts. Keep at it. I will be looking for your 100th silver post that is sure to be coming soon. Good luck! -Marc

VERY EXCITING:clapping:

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU

I noticed your Ring and it appeared as if it was straightened

I found this Ring and wondered about how to get it right

How did you do it?

A few years ago I purchased a "Ring Mandrel" like you would find at a jewelry store...........it works great for fixing rings that are bent...........once you get the ring so it will slide onto the ring mandrel, then I take a rubber mallet and gently pound the ring back into shape. Hope this helps! Jim

Jim. How do I get the one that's in my nose out? My wife won't tell me......

Nice finds you guys. Great proof there is still quite a bit of silver to be unearthed. Thanks for the pictures.
