9" x 8" vs 7" Concentric Coil Depth

Does anyone know how much depth you would lose on a Eldorado uMax using a 7" concentric coil instead of the standard 9" x 8" coil?

I read that they're lighter and easier to swing.

Depth loss 1 1/2 inch or so. A bit better separation in trash, good pinpointing and nice to swing. One of my favorite coils for park hunting.

That sounds like what the doctor ordered. If I could get 7 inches on a quarter I'd be happy with that coil.

Thanks for the info.

I just got my 7 inch concentric coil delivered. I like it a whole lot better than the 9 x 8 coil.

The Eldorado with its new 7 inch coil is deeper on coins in my coin garden than my MineLab 305 is with its 9 inch coil.

It's a breeze to swing, it's super fast and pinpoints like a laser.

I also like how well it sizes targets in all metal mode.

I'm in hog heaven.:jump:

Are there any other Tesoro detectors that can match the Eldorado + 7 inch concentric coil wow factor?

It is for a little different purpose, but an EuroSabre II with a 12x10 SEF DD coil brings always smile to my face while hunting. It has great depth, manual ground balance, audio discrimination and can find very small things. It is not that heavy to swing as it might seem. I plan to add a smaller concentric coil later, because the DD is too big for our fields full of iron.
