9 x 12 coil on ACE250...testimony requested

the larger ACE250 coil is advertised as giving "more depth for larger object...great for relic or cache hunting"

So is that it??...will it give any increased depth for COINS??

I have a few hotspots that would be great to re-work, knowing I am getting an inch or two on my stock coil.

Does it (9x12) work deeper for coin-sized objects?
Does it pinpoint as well as the stocker?

Please chime in, even if you only have theory...

Thanks in advance

I never got my 3 d goggle map of all your treasure spots,But since your near ,The big coil will get a hot wheel at 11 inches in ground.Coins any where from surface to 10 or 11 inches, haven't dug any that deep but close and you could here them pretty good,It sometimes hard to take it off because it isn't much heavier than stock cover more ground.Walk through area with stock and then walk trough same are with big coil pick up what you missed ihave dug other items it hit on at 11 inches stuff about size of pencil head it has pretty good separation and it handles most of the ground around here except were heavy iron,if you cant use stock in the area you probably cant use the big one.Small items it has hit some really small stuff about size of two BB or a zipper,It bangs on quarters hard and separation in trash is good I have dug coins that were next to junk because of bell tone when you do your sweep you will hear the trash in the area but also will hear bell tone. This i know for a fact relic not coins like knives door knockers fence pieces it will bang those deep i was in a area like that for weeks, some of it was 12 inches .it pinpoints close to stock. Just the deeper the coin the farther back from tip it will be.On old cruddy clad penny's 9 inches you get bell tone space bell tone like it is hiding under a rock.I will send you a private message i have to go to soccer game.maybe we can met half way you can try it out.

i am also getting ready to buy the 9x12 ace coil.cant wait.im thinking of selling my gtp1350 due to hardly ever using it.the ace picks up everything the 1350 does, but is alot hotter on coins.

Well since I field tested it I'll give it a shot. It is great for coins and will give you 2-3 inches more depth over the stock coil. It's just as sensitive as the stock coil and pinpoints exactly the same.

Ohio Fred covered most..Yep, it will detect appx
2-3 inches deeper than the stock coil on coin size
objects. Ot at least thats what I saw on careful air
tests. The pinpointing is pretty much the same as the
stock coil. In fact, the big coil is basically the same
as the stock coil, just bigger. In operation, it acts
about the same, being it's the same type of coil.
I've also detected very small items with it, so it will
find the small stuff too. Also, I agree with his statement
about full power getting the best depth.
It's like it needs the full sensistivity to take full
advantage of the larger coil. If I run it down lower,
it's kinda like it's starving for power. I see the same
on the stock coil too, but it might show up a tad more
on the big coil. I've gotten to where I run all the coils
nearly full blast unless excess chatter is a problem.
