hi all,
i've had my xs since late june and have been having a blast! i met up with a couple of buddies at an LA park on tuesday and managed 9 silvers! my buddy, Dan, had found 10 silver dimes at the same park the day before.
after finding a merc and two rosies, i go to my car to get my camera in hope of taking a picture of a silver rim in the hole. man, i love it when the coin is still embedded in the hole but an silver reeded edge is exposed! well, i got what i hoped for. i got a sweet silver flutey tone at 6-7inches. i called my friend over and he said, "that's silver. it has to be." i agreed. he turned off his machine and sat down next to me and watched as i carefully dug down to the target. i dug slowly so i might get a shot of a silver edge. it worked out perfectly, as you'll see in the photos below.
i ended up with 8 silver dimes and the beauty that you'll see in the pictures below.
i hunted for 9 hours. also got 17 wheats.
