Hello Everyone!!
I don't post too often on this forum. My other two forums keep me real busy. But I see some of my friends posting on this forum, and want to contribute.
Well, I just had another awesome day at my favorite park this morning. My SE Pro coil was in prime form, helping me to find 8 silver coins ('41 Washington, '46, '48, '49 Rosies, '42(2), '44 Mercs), along with 21 wheaties. Almost every silver/wheat was down between 9-10" in hard/dry soil. I was so tired after digging in that kind of ground for 5 hours this morning. I kept cussing at the ground when I dug down to 8", and my coin was still in the bottom of my hole. I was in good company with Curt(Bibleman) and Richard(Smitty) joining me today. Curt kept looking at me and couldn't believe when I told him I had another, and another, and another.... He returned to the car twice, replacing his 1050 coil for his Sunray 12, but he didn't have the "killer" Pro 11". He told me it looks like he'll be getting one of those coils soon.
So that makes 22 straight hunts striking silver with the Pro coil in the turf. I kind of ruined my future chances at extending my streak by pulling so many silver out of my good spot today. I should have just stopped at 3 or 4, but my hunting buddies weren't letting up, and it was still only 9:30 in the morning, so I decided to continue. One of my plugs was a double silver: a merc and a rosie at 9.5". Folks, this wasn't a new hunting area...This was an area that has been pounded by me for a few weeks now(once or twice a week), along with my hunting buddies some time ago. I was finding anywhere from 1 to 3 silver, along with a few wheats on each hunt there, but nothing like today! Were the planets all aligned today or something? Sometimes, I can't even figure how there could have been so many deep, diggable signals still waiting to be found from a site that has been worked and re-worked many times over.
The 9th silver is a beach toasted '50 Rosie that I found in the surf last Friday at around 10", so it seems no matter where I go, I've been able to find the oldies.
I started to clean my silver coins(the one merc in the right corner), but decided to show the rest of them the way I dug them out of the ground, with just the dirt washed off this time.
Who Needs an E-Trac when you can get results with an SE/SE Pro coil combination? Save your money!! I'll consider a newer machine if someone can show me a signal located by an E-Trac that I can't hear with my SEl.
Thanks for looking!
Keep the Passion High, and your coil low!!
