9/7 After Supper Hunt

Grabbed the Discovery 3300 and headed for Va Beach. Just knew I was going to rack up the goodies after the storm. WRONG!! The storm piled a load of sand on the beach and changed the hunting conditions drastically. This was the slowest evening I have had this summer. Never have worked so hard at the beach for so few targets. Did manage the ring though. It is marked 14K. So it could have been worse. I was shocked that I didn't see anyone working the water at low tide. They might have been down by the pier at 16th ST. It was a beautiful evening to be out hunting, but it sure would have been nice to have had more targets.

You did OK at that beach..The gold bonus is good...

That is a nice looking ring you have there, congrats! Hanna was a disapointment. I worked most of the beach afterwards and it was very slim pickins. Very few people that I spoke with had anything to show. Maybe we will get a good storm soon to push some sand out.
