I took the Pro out neck deep in the Big Lake this am...hit a pulltab, then got a nice mid tone signal and up in the scoop comes this! So I'm thinking, its not silver, or some sort of steel, it might be white gold, its pretty heavy, but my reading glasses were up in the truck. I kept swinging coil and thinking about the sound the signal made...not wanting to get my hopes up too high, I took it out and held it up and saw some markings inside the band, OK, thats a good sign...maybe, just maybe...
I air tested it just to get the TID reading, 49-50 in the custom zero mode. Kept on swinging a little more, found about a buck in clad, and worked my way back to the truck, thats when I got all shivery and shaky!
Very happy for having this machine for 2 weeks, two silver rings and this one, my first Plat ring ever!

Excellent!!! Gotta love water hunting, you can actually find something that has real value!! Congrats and thanx for posting!

You're killing me! Platinum already, maybe I need to come up there for a visit.

Well done!

Thanks guys...its got a nice personalized inscription inside for a 25th anniv. gift...I'm trying to find the owner. Everybody heading out tomorrow?

Gonna try an evening beach hunt for a little break from the heat. Tide works out pretty close but no wading late in the day. That's feeding time and I'd rather not be on the menu......

I'd be happy with a gold ring much less platinum!

Nice one,congrats ..

Good Golly Miss Molly!!! You darn near paid that machine in 2 weeks! Glad it is working out for you, I loooove the AT-Pro!! I like the fact that a brand new detector found you something you have never found before...very cool. If I knew where you were going tomorrow I would be there with bells on:blush:

Congrats on a great find! I've never found a platinum ring in the water. I have only found 1 in my life and that was in a ball field in the outfield.

FYI that ring is worth $382.02 US based on the recent spot price for platinum. Excellent find!

Naaa...don't sell Platinum for melt, can sell that ring as a ring for atleast 1 1/2 times melt.

I don't know a much better way to "ring" in the new month than finding yor first platinum. Great first two weeks on the AT Pro. Congratulations.

Great score. I hope you find the owner--that would be a better find than the ring itself. If not, you've got a real keeper.
