I recently ordered this coil for my GTI 1500 and from what I read it is suppose to be submersible

Has anyone used this particular coil in water that covered the connection and if so did you encounter any problems?

I think all Garrett coils are submersable. I don't have that coil as I swing the GTP, but, I have submersed my cols on my GTP and have never had a problem. HH:garrett:
 
That's the same coil as on the 2500 and I've dunked my in rivers already (only had it a month). The coil is waterproof. Just keep the box dry.
