8x6 SEF

Well after reading a bunch of good things on this forum about this coil, I just put in my order in, looking forward to giving it a try.

I think you'll like it. That's the one I run 80% of the time. Usually don't change it unless I'm covering a large area.

My 6x8 is what is on my machine right now. I have been using it more lately due to a lot of iron in the places I am hunting. It is a wonderful coil.

Ha Ha Cool Pic! Did you make that yourself? LOL
The leaves and twigs all around the coil should be on fire and smoldering a little too!
Very cool

Pete

Ok, Tell me where I might purchase this coil. Also who is the Manufacturer. Thanks

Currently using my Excalibur and a Minelab Soverign X S Pro
thanks

Kellyco is the US distributor, be aware that they are on backorder. Hope that helps

what about the Sunray X-8? I got one of these and have curious about the 6x8 SEF, but just can't justify geting another 8 inch coil.

Both the Sunray X-8 & 6 X 8 SEF are excellent mid-sized coils.---I've owned/used them both & in my tests & the areas I hunt the X-8 proved to be a little deeper & the 6 X 8 proved to give a tad bit better seperation.----If weight is important to you---my two scales showed the weight of the X-8 to be 16 oz. (with coil cover) and 18 oz. for the 6 X 8 (with coil cover).-----I'd be comfortable hunting with either one of them for a mid-size coil, right now I'm using the X-8.---As I said (IMO), they are both excellent mid-sized coils. Hope this helps someone a little.---------Del

Thanks for the feedback. I'll stick to the X-8 since I already have it. Going back out thursday. See how it does among the corn stubble. :detecting:

You won't be sorry, fantastic separation and very good depth it's a winner all the way around

Just found a '42 Mercury dime with my 6x8 in an area that I had already been over with my stock coil. Down about 8 inches!!!
