8x6 SEF on its way

I finally took the plunge and ordered a new coil. I only have the stock 12" coil for my DFX. I've heard great things about the SEFs. I hope I don't regret the smaller SEF that I ordered. I kept going back and forth with the 12x10. If I don't like the 8x6 I guess I'll have to sell it and get the bigger 12x10.

Congratulations! If you don't like it, I'll be the first in line to buy it from you. I almost bought one about 4 times yesterday, and finally talked myself out of it, since I already have theD2, 950, 5.2, 6x9 eclipse, and 4x6 eclipse...

Hi Ohio digger, I have a 6x8SEF and use it about all the time. it is really good in trash and goes deeper than the 5.3 coil i think. Where are you in Ohio? I lived in Columbus Ohio for 21 years, now i live just across the river in KY. I got alot of good coins and rings in Ohio. Good Luck Flintstone

You'll love the 6x8. I never use my 12" stock. That 6x8 is on my machine all the time. Just found 2 indian heads this past weekend along with some real nice old flat buttons.

How deep are you getting with it?

OD,had the 8x6 on my mxt 100% of the time......its a cracking little coil with great depth,good seperation,very high sensitivity to small objects and it copes with mineralisation better than most.I think you will be suprised by the depth you get with this coil......hardly any difference from the stock coil.
