8X6 SEF Coil questions

I just ordered an 8x6 sef coil for my Explorer II. 2 questions: do I have to use different settings than those I use for 10.5 coil? and Is it lighter than the 10.5, especially will it make it balance better?

Just play with them somewhat and see what happens. Some like fast on...some don't. Some like manual sensitivity...some don't. Some like high gain...some don't. The list goes on and on.
You just need to piddle and see what sounds good to you. No particular settings work for everyone.
The balance seemed pretty good to me.
