87 cent trowel

kydigger

New member
I dropped into a Harbor Freight today just to brouse around. I stumbled across a great deal.
A very nice sturdy poly/nylon 2x6 trowel for 87 cents.
I also picked up a sheath made for pruning shears that holds the trowel and my Fisker's digging tool for 6 bucks. Works great and you don't look like your carrying a hunting knife

What is wrong with carrying a hunting knife?

Jeff

There's nothing wrong with carring a hunting knife. Its just that in some places it may be better not looking like your carrying an 8" weapon.
I'm sure that in some places it may also be illegal. A gigger isn't a weapon. But why draw undo attention.

In my city it's a felony to carry any knife with a blade over 2 1/2 inches length without permit. Even Boy Scouts get in trouble.

Maybe you should move out of North Korea or Cuba or whatever totalitarian country in which you live. Here in the USA we have the right to bear arms.

Mark,

It's sad but true that here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts bearing arms is difficult in many areas. Permits to carry can require lawsuits and definitions of what is a "deadly weapon" are liberally (no pun intended) applied. But hey, maybe our election on Jan 19 may be the start of change we really can believe in.

Man is this a surprise. I thought I was just giving a little purchasing tip. I didn't know it would open up such a political debate.
On that note, however, congragulations Mass. and welcome back to the USA

Just make damned sure that is not an assault trowel.

You know of course that Caine killed Able with a rock. Everything is a potential weapon.

careful, mark... let that get out and we'll have a 3-day waiting period on rocks!

Just read the Ma. law. Feel sorry for the hunters and fishermen in that state. Not to mention electricians who have knives as tools. Shows how ignorant lawmakers are. Did another search and see sporting goods stores sell knives so how do you get them home???

The most pitiful folks are the voters of Mass. For the love of God, why to they continue to vote for people who abuse them so? I guess the same could be said for the country as a whole. Whey do so many Americans continue to vote for politicians who obviously do not have the best interests of the voters at heart?

So has it broke yet?

Make that "most" of the voters in MA. For so long it's been a case of voting against the tide, knowing the incumbents would get in again regardless of their performance. How else could re-electing a child molester to the house be explained. (yup, it was done in MA) Way too many Moonbats here, but maybe some are starting to wake up...I hope.
