8500 pics?

This new version 6 is hot! at 70 sens, no chatter indoors, I'm getting 11-12" airtest on a silver quarter! At some point I'll get a 11" DD but I think I'll hook a 11" teardrop from a F44 to it just to see what kind of depth it will get. It's already deeper than a F44 with a smaller coil.
 
I am not familiar with the Multiple Target Category System. Never seen one. But the idea reminds me of the Tesoro SUM feature on the Cortez, only visual. The 8500 explains it in the manual, but I'm at a loss for it's advantage, though I'm sure there is one.
