83 coins in 2 hours: Day 3 at the Park

This park I found just keeps giving up tons of coins and I'm not near done with it. I literally had to quit because my back was starting to bother me. Today's take was 46 quarters, 14 dimes, 1 nickel, and 22 pennies. So far I've taken 180 coins out of the park but no silver or gold. I have to believe there is some there somewhere.

Awesome clad coins finds and thank you for sharing the picture with all of us. Did you dig any trash metal? Anyway wishing you many more great finds while out dirt fishing.

just keep pounding. We have a school yard that over the years we have taken 5000 coins out and it will still produce a coin about every 3-4 min. multiple wheats some silver and 1902 barber

A big Wow on your coin numbers from your hunt. An Amazing day of dirt fishing. I'm hoping to find a spot like that myself. Thanks for posting

I'm really amazed you only found 1 nickle. That's well below average for any park I've hunted.
Nice number of coins.

Nice hunt! Nice collection you found there!

Yeah, I'm kinda mining out the quarters and dimes first just to clean things out a little. I'm working strictly around some basketball courts and I'm getting so many signals that I was driving myself crazy trying to dig everything. I opted to try and clean out the stuff I could quickly identify by tone and then go back to dig everything else. If I suspected someone else was working the park I might be doing this with a little more urgency.

Just an update. I picked up another 99 coins from around the basketball courts. Finally cleaned out enough to go back over it and dig the lower tones. The AT Pro tones out gold anywhere from 50 to 70. Pull tabs are 50 to 55 and nickels are 52 to 56. I expect to be picking up a lot of pull tabs and nickels on my next hunt! But one never knows if a gold chain or earring is in there too.
