:usaflag:The sniper is good for picking out clad, but I have found all of my silver keepers and other old coins with the stock coil. I don't know, maybe I'm not giving the sniper a fair shot. Maybe I'll give it another season..

The SEF "Butterfly" search coil is definitely deeper than either the sniper or stock search coil. You can run your sensitivity higher with the SEF than compred with the stock. Sniper is great for tot lots and searching beside metal fences because it does not detect above the search coil, so you can angle the sniper down and get right up to the metal equipment or metal fence and get stuff that people with other search coils missed. You won't be able to get close to metal fences or tot lot equipment with that SEF search coil, though, but it is great for use in trashy areas because it's small and goes deep for it's size. From what I've seen of your posts in the past and the types of areas that you typically search, you will not regret getting the 8"x6" SEF for the Ace. Happy Hunting!:)

:usaflag:How much did you pay for the SEF your wife is using? I thought I saw one for about $100, but Kellyco has them listed for $150. I was hoping to trade straight-up for my Sniper, but not if the SEF is $50 more.

$99.95 w/free UPS Ground shipping from Ebay. It will actually ship from KellyCo. Here's a link:

10"x14" DD Excelerator is the same deal.

Happy Hunting!:)

:usaflag:Thanks. I posted an offer at the detector accessory classified forum. I'm looking to trade my Sniper w/coil cover and lower shaft for the 8 X 6" Butterfly coil. That would make the trade just about even. No bites yet though. Maybe I'll just suck it up and buy the coil so I have three to choose from.
