8" Minelab or 8" Sun Ray ??

I'm looking at a smaller coil for my EX2 than my stock 10.5 for trashy sites. Has anyone ever used, or have an opinion on the 8" Minelab and the 8" Sun Ray? or do you prefer something else?

Try an 8" Minelab, which I believe is actually 7 1/4"... there is a huge difference between it and the stock 10.5, the target separation is MUCH better with the smaller coil, plus I feel that the smaller coil is much more accurate to pinpoint with. I have a 5" Sunray and it too is a good coil but I really haven't given it more than a 1/2 hour in the grass but it too has a very tight pinpoint.
You can pick up an 8" Minelab for about $75 and you will be very pleased with it.

I have both coils and I don't feel there is a big difference between them. Save some money and go with the Minelab. Both of the coils work great.

the sun-ray is a true 8" coil............i prefer it over the minelab just for that reason

Thanks everyone. Since they are about equal, and the price for the Minelab is less, I will get the 8" minelab. Hopefully from a forum vendor.
