8 Inch Mono

HI guys...After the awesome hunt the other day with the 8 inch mono went back to the same spot with the stock coil. The conditions had changed terribly - and I wished almost immediately for the smaller coil. It is much easier and somewhat faster in the water.

I do think the larger coil is deeper and therefore more suited to hunting on wet sand. Seems I am growing to like the 8 inch coil!

Conditions make a huge difference the other day was calm (but very cold) and the water crystal clear. Yesterday...A little chop...unclear and much harder.

I gave up relatively quickly. One thing about the 8 inch first hunt - running the atx fairly hot - 4 or 5 chains with the machine!

Sweet merciful mongoose!:surprised::yikes: Is that scale reading right?:hot: Outstanding haul!:clapping:
