8 Inch Mono - continued testing in the H2o

Finished work around 2pm today - was a stunning winters day here:twodetecting:. Popped back into the water with the ATX and found maybe 20 old coins (oldest early 1900s) and three more gold rings - all very old drops :)

1) 9ct, about 2 grams
2) 9ct - about 5 grams

the 3) ring is very odd, it is handmade (not perfect) and was fairly deep, it gave a fairly average tone on the ATX as it was down deep, wedged under rocks. It is very heavy for a ring - 17.5 Grams. No Hallmarks at all - need to get it tested. Suspect high quality GOLD and Silver, or, possibly GOLD and PLAT (it is really heavy for the size). Any tips for testing?

Whatever it is....I am happy with the 8 inch mono. You need to move more slowly and carefully.

Wow!

Fantastic!
