8 INCH MONO Arrived - warranty question

Hi Guys

I have managed to pickup a 8 Inch Mono coil for the ATX from a dealer whilst travelling in the US for work (450 USD ouch). Just got home and tried the coil - it is much lighter! I wanted to register the coil online for warranty purposes - however there is no serial number? I wonder how garrett can track the coils? I know my standard ATX coil has a serial at the join of the shaft and coil itself. For those of you who just purchased the 8 inch coil - can you see a serial number somewhere??

Aside that - will update you on relative performance!

Please send some feedback on the coil after searching for treasure. Thanks and good luck!

initially tests - obviously much lighter - especially with my 'home made; shaft. Seem to be able to pump the sensitivity upwards (used to use 9, and can now use 11 - 13 if ground balanced). However, on the beach I need to ground balance (with the DD I could just add some discrim). Seems to 'air test a inch or show less than the stock coil, target for target. Jury out at this stage as to if this was a good buy! Pinpointing for scoop = not required. Recovery speed = increased. Maybe the right tool in the water.
