8 HOUR BEACH HUNT & 90 MIN. PARK HUNT

TRIPLE-SSS

Well-known member
Went to the beach for an 8 hour hunt, from 3am to 12 noon. The weather was great with a bright moon and cool morning breeze.I did pretty good with over $8.00 dollars and some jewelry to boot. The 2 dollar bills were folded up in a napkin and some change also. The mood ring is pretty neat, it changes from green, purple, red and blue. The other jewelry is not real but some good finds as well . Had a good time at the beach with the cooler weather here.
The park hunt was a couple days earlier. I only worked the play ground area that was bordered with timbers and had mulch for a ground base. I spent about 90 minutes but did manage to find about 2 dollars in clad a 14 k gold ring with diamonds. It actually is a 14 k gold plated ring. I did run my detector over other areas of the park and hit on allot of targets. The only problem is I didn't bring my sledge hammer to dig them up with. We have not had any rain for over a month and the ground is haaaard.
Hunting season is just around the corner. The places I hunt are located next to some old towns with good prospects to detect. I'll do a morning deer hunt, an afternoon detecting hunt and an evening deer hunt, can't wait!
FYI--- I visited a Garrett dealer in town and asked about the new AT pro that everyone is so excited about. He said that he was invited to go to a demonstration and was very impressed with the detector. He said that he was especially impressed with the pro modes and the different tones. The demo.that he saw was only on dry land , and like the rest of us, he has not seen any field tests in and around the beach. He did strongly advice everyone to remember that like any new detector, It will take a little time to really evaluate it's performance because of the learning curve that you experience with a new detector. In other words, You have to have some patience for an honest and true evaluation when they hit the market place.
HAPPY HUNTING

Nasty weather here, and usually poor results compared with 'good' beaches. I wish you continued success.
