8" Excelerator coil (I'm Impressed)

I have been using the 8"Excelerator on my MXT for a couple of weeks now and I am impressed. One thing that I have noticed is my coins on edge finds have increased. I definatly get a better on edge signal than with the stock coil. Also the 8" is vsery stable. Can run wide open. The soil I am hunting in is averaging about 83 and the excelerator works like a charm. Just thought I would post my 2cents for what it is worth. I now have the 5",8",& 12" excelerator and feel like I can handle just about any situation.

And you're 100% correct about how well the solid 8" EXcelerator DD performs. EXCELLENT! My favorite coil to use on the MXT now basically 'full time' unless it's trashy.

How much does the EXcellerator 8" coil
compared to the stock 9.5" coil?

weighed the stock 950 w/coil cover on a lower rod, a 10" (open) EXcelerator w/coil cover on a lower rod, and the 8" (solid) EXcelerator w/cover on a lower rod.

The stock 950 and 10" EXcelerator weighed the same, and the 8" was only 1 ounce heavier.
