I am using the charger I got from Garrett for the Infinium. The pic should pretty well explain the hook-up.

PLEASE! Make sure you have the correct battery polarization!

The 8 batteries are in series giving a fully charged battery pac (8 x 1.5 volts)of 12 volts, equalling the output of the charger. The charger states "ALLOW 8 HOURS FOR FULL CHARGE"

This setup should speed up the process of charging those batteries, and also save some wear and tear on the battery. holders. :)

It took me a long time to get on the rechargeable battery bandwagon because I had had bad luck with them in the past. The combination of my older overnight charger and expensive 2500mAh NiMH batteries lasted only a few years with not much use in my digital camera. I was reluctant to try them in my GTI 2500. I now use a 15 minute charger and the same 2500mAh batteries (new ones) and so far so good. I think I have about 120 hours with them. 191 hours is my break even point. I have done a lot of reading that says the batteries will perform better with slower charging but I am having much better luck this time with the quick charger. I generally recharge when the battery meter reads 3 or 4 bars and that has been after 15-20 hours. I would like to hear other experiences.

I use re-charge for the Ace. They work great and hold a long charge.
