8"donut coil?:ausflag:

Yes and yes again one of the best coils built by Tesoro

Especially the older white ones! I have one on my Dad's Royal Sabre and it goes very deep on a Tesoro and discriminates really well. I've swapped it out on many of the newer units and it certainly seems to help by giving it that extra 10% depth.

It's my favorite Tesoro coil.

Yep, I like it a lot. Great target separation and still gets good depth. It is a very effective all-rounder.

I have never used the white 8" round coil but really like the 8" round brown coil. Really well built but not heavy, pinpoints dead on in the center of the hole.

One of my favorites as well.

I'd say its my 2nd favorite coil only because I mostly like to work real trashy areas with the 5.75 coil gettng most use.

I guess that's the one on this Compadre. Works fine and as already mentioned it pinpoints dead center so long as you pay attention.

Great coil! I like it better than the 8x9.

yes it is a good coil , very good at pinpointing , and smooth tosoro got that one right .

I am considering one for my vaq but I see the length of the cable is 8' from both the Tesoro and Kellyco websites. I don't understand the need for so much cable when these machines are feather light to begin with.

I have one and really like it a lot. I use it without the coil cover and it's a breeze to swing. Excellent depth, separation and pinpointing.

Give Rusty Henry a call. I got one from him with a 3.5 foot cable.

That coil glides through the water really well. The long cable is for hipmounting/chestmounting. For the one you looked at its more for a Super Traq but a couple of years ago I waded a Vaquero for almost a full summer, hung the control box in a nylon bag that hung around my neck and was able to comfortably hunt just over waist deep. In some places thats deep enough. I more used the 12X10 with a long cable but the 8" coil would be even easier to swing.

ya whats the deal with the 8' cable are they trying to discourage us from buying it , it cruses thru water like a charm, easy to pin point with , loved it on the outlaw, I like to dig nails and in all metal it was so nice at pinpointing nails at any angle .
