I was wondering,,, will the 8" BBS coil for the Sov... work on the Explorer ?? Does anyone know or tried it ?? Thanks..Frank

They wont work Frank, the Sov coils had circuit boardss in them, that the explorer has in the control box...

on the Explorer? On the regular F/BBS forum I've seen several folks refer to themselves using 7.5 inch coils (supposedly from MineLab) on their Explorers. If these are "officially" available from Minelab, I haven't seen them advertised. Those using the Sunray 8" coil are usually real clear about that. Are the posts just confusing me or is there a MineLab coil of this size?

Minelab make a 8 inch coil too for the Explorer along with Sunray. The Minelab one is about 7 1/2 inches while the Sunray is 8 inches.
The Sunray one was built before Minelab made one for the Explorer.
I have the 8 inch Sunray Stealth coil and love it.

KCo has it just scroll down after getting on the Minelab page.... check your local dealer for a better price before buying if you do...
