8" coil on Deleon

Today I spent a few hours hunting with the 8" brown donut coil from my silver u max on the deleon. Seemed to be a very good fit, close to the same depth and better seperation in trash. Found a nice silver ring with a small fire opal stone with 3 very small diamonds on each side and a good number of clad coins. Has anyone else tried this coil on the deleon? Don
 
I have one that I've used on my Cortes and Golden at times. Depth seems to be the same as the 8x9. Now I glued a 4" square plastic sheet to the bottom to cover the hole and will use it in the woods. The 8x9 is not good in the woods, too many sticks get caught in the spokes.
 
I haven't used the 8" on my DeLeon in the field, however it air tests on coins pretty much dead on with the 8X9 so nothing lost there.
