wondering everybody's intake on the 8" and the 5" coil's for trashy sights, I have also seen the double d coils, and the (excelerator) any info would be greatly appreciated thanx!

Hi Silver Drvn.
Well i have had the Quattro since it has been released. I swapped over to the Coiltek 9 and half by 5 and a half inches joey made here in Australia. The smaller coil has got better seperation between targets and is far superior in pinpointing. I would never go back to the standard coil.
Hope this is a bit of a help.
Regards Pinpointa.

I have the excelerator 5" DD coil and love for areas that are super trashy. Its is a worth while investment.

Hi SilverDrvn
I've been using the Minelab 8" coil for the past month and a half now and it is awesome in the trash. You can really pull out some nice coins from those trash ridden sites. Hope this helps.

I have been using the Coiltek joey coil for 7 months now and would only go back to the standard coil if a waterproof coil was needed at a particular detecting site. The coverage is still there as the coil is 10" by 5" and if I have lost any depth it is minimal.

Being new to the hobby I was grateful someone asked this question. But I would also like to ask if someone like me with limited funds should be getting a bigger or smaller coil than the standard 10".

I know it depends on where you are looking but I would like others opinions on which coils they use the most.

Thanks

Hello Dlsa. Welcome to the Quarto forum. Seeing you are new to detecting I would concentrate on getting to know your detector and at this stage and wouldn
