Was nice today 56 dew point and about 65 f going thru the farm rows found a slug that was giving a null so i turned down my sens and it came thru with a nice high tone , I hunt with the sens at obove C in cancel and use the pinponting mode and i am getting many targets in the 10 and 12" range and could have got them deeper , finding some weared points made of copper or brass dont know what they are somthing farm related found some fancy disigned copper thing so the finds are getting intresting , and it was in just such a situation that the 1926 standing liberty and the 1905 barber and 1948 canadian quarters came out of so it could go eather way the ox bow is coming up again hope it does not flood the field I am having a good time . And i found a bonafied hand forged square nails

Cool relics! You are right, you never know what the next target is going to be. The more time with the detector on and that coil covering ground, the better the odds. I am amazed at the amount of relics that you are pulling out all over this field. Lots of history to it and never know what the next signal is going to be. Keep at it Gunnar!

Jim tht amazes me as well i am right in the middle of the field, I could really see a nice coin coming out , the canadian honkys were going to land today and aborted thear landing when they seen me , FAAL IS HEAR , gooses going south ,

This is what I've been saying for a long time on here. In some soils too high of a sensitivity setting (even though it may be stable) can cause targets to degrade or even null out. This was more true with the 15x12. The 12x10 seems to want to ride the edge of stability more. Best way to decide is to bury a dime at fringe depth on something newly buried (say 7" or so) and then adjust the sensitivity and see where you get the best response. Often for me it's around pointing to the "C" in noise cancel.

Good job on digging up those relics...

Hang in there Gunnar,

In time, you will see some more nice coins come out. I feel it.
