8.5 x 11 coil on AT Pro and bottle caps

I often hunt with a friend of mine in Los Angeles California. I was out there hunting with him and had a DD coil on my machine, finding a Lot of bottle caps while he was out there with his 1350 right along side of me popping out quarters and dimes. After I seen this I quickly got my 1350 with the standard coil out and was happy. I have the bigger 10 x 14 dd coil for the 1350 but will be selling it soon.
I see this AT Pro with the Big 8.5 x 11 DD coming out soon and wonder if it will be the same with bottle caps. I know they are not in our hands yet, but I feel that someone has tested them somewhere, and wanted to know. IS it going to be another Bottle cap Monster. If I only had nickle for every bottle cap I dug...

The thing about bottlecaps, at least for me, is not that I can't ID them... it is that I always wonder if just maybe... it is something else. Most of the BCs I dig, I am already pretty sure what they are... or more correctly, what they are not. If I am in a place that is just littered with them I will usually give up digging them after 10 or so... same thing with square nails. If the nail isn't cut I almost always know it is a nail but... I still dig too many of them because there is always that slim chance that it maybe... might be something else.

I am convinced that most of the just we dig... after we become experienced and know our machine... well, we have some indication that the target may be junk, but we dig it anyway because at most places all the easy targets are already gone.

Some machines definately give more indicators than other machines but... we ususlly have some sort of idea what we are going to dig.

Right?

I've never had any interest in a Garrett machine before, except I did take a look at an Infinium LS but with the stock coil it seemed too heavy for my needs. However, this AT-Pro really looks like something I can use. I wonder what different coils will be available for it?
Personally, I have a hard time believing it has twice the depth of an ACE-250... either the 210 has pitiful depth or all things are not equal... like maybe they are comparing a 250 with a small coil to an AT with the big coil... just saying... i'll need to see that. I hope it is true and I hope it will meet my needs for a wading saltwater machine. I said to myself this summer that I will have a waterproof machine before next summer... this looks like a good candidate. That big coil bothers me just a little, wondering how undertow and any water current might make it hard to use... maybe there will be a smaller. perhaps 8" coil that will make it easier to hold onto in a current... I am not so young anymore and fighting a current will wear me down.

Also... it isn't green and yellow... I could never get past those colors to ever give most Garrett detectors a second look. This one looks like it might be a winner...

While the AD-Pro can give you a distinct audio on a bottle cap, just about any detector with a visual display or low tone for iron can tell you when you have a bottle cap (usually). One the targets goes off the tip of the coil (concentric or DD) then you will get a low tone and iron number. A coin won't do that.
