latest finds from the farm field, a coin could come out at any time , I know i have covered lots of ground with the WOT, grid searching the hole 80 acres. its low target for sure but every now and then i get a signal, Had to trap moles and gophers today and rest a bit

For the gophers: Wouldn't a .22 rifle with a scope be more fun? lol jk nice finds from the farm. You just never know when you are going to stumble onto another sweet target. See, if we knew where the treasure was, we would walk up to that area, turn on the detector and find it. Since we don't know, all that we can do....is what you are doing. Grid off areas and hit it hard until it bleeds.

More time with the coil on the ground = more finds. (Good & Bad)

Happy hunting! (both kinds - varmints & dirt )- Jim

You are funny , but gophers have been know to throw a few good finds out of thear holes hay whats a coin to a gopher ?

Very good point Gunnar. Check near the gopher holes. Let them dig the holes, then shoot them lol

Another week where I won't be able to get Caddyshack out of my mind !!

You are doing some good reputation building - I saw the other post about the permission for another field....... Never get disheartened if you are not finding much - its all good effort - the more you detect and create a good impression the more area's will open up to you. Getting permissions for people's private land is sometimes the hardest part of metal detecting but once you get your 'foot in one door' more 'doors' open.........

I really like your reports - you are doing what most people wouldn't have the patience to do... and that is your advantage in many ways, good finds can be rare in area's like that - but the potential for great finds is possible. Some of the best ever finds over here in England have been on similar sites, I know we have far more history but the basic principal still applies.

Happy hunting........
