Has anyone used both a lot?? Can you tell me what the pros and cons are one over the other other than weight and trickier pinpointing?? Is it worthwhile to have both or not? Thanks in advance and HH. Bob.

7x10 elliptical versus a 10x14DD on a cx style detector...

If you are hunting fields looking for relics, the larger coil will cover more ground and should get you some more depth too.

The DD is strictly for highly mineralized ground. If you don't have that problem then there's little use for it other than a little more ground coverage - but remember, DD's don't discriminate nearly as well as a concentric and they love bottlecaps I have a field test on the 10x14 at losttreasure.com

cover more ground and get some more depth. At the upcoming GNRS those two items are important. Also I bet it will be nice for beach hunting when we go on our 30th anniversary. Thanks to you and Uncle Willy for the replies. HH. Bob.
