705

I'm thinking on purchasing a 705 does it go deep and I know if you change coils its a totally different machine how is customer service. just like some honest opinions . thanks

Hi, i just received my x terra 705 gold pack this past friday, i think that i will fall in love with this machine very soon , i need a lot to learn from it , i totally recomend to you, from tests air i have been making i can get 10 inches or little bit more

Great post Mev!

Dig you wanting a coin machine or the Gold package? The auto ground balance is a great feature to have. For the $ the 705 is very hard to beat! Give me a call if you have any questions or need pricing options. Thanks, Bart!

Dig, before you make a choice, read the eBook first. Compared to all of the machines that I researched prior to getting my 705 Gold Pack, I found that the unit sold itself. This is not to say that the eBook is nothing more than a sales brochure - it isn't, and that's my point! Thus far, I have been extremely happy with the unit, it has been just great in all modes and functions.

The 705's depth is comparable to anything in its class and it probably I.D.'s better at depth than just about anything else in its class. The only detector comparable to it in features is White's MXT, but the MXT weights 50% more (4.3 oz. to 2.9 oz.). than the 705, which uses half as many batteries (4 AA's to 8 AA's) as for the MXT. The 705 also has an adjustable volume control, while the MXT doesn't and the 705 has a 50% longer guarantee (3 yrs. to 2 yrs.) then the MXT. Minelab did have some service repair issues awhile back when they first moved their repair facilities from Las Vegas to the Chicago area, but those issues seem to have been resolved since then and their turn-around times compares favorably to anyone elses. Hope this helps...

I've been using my new 705 for a couple of weeks now and I love it. I pulled a 1907 IH last Saturday at 8" and the week before I pulled a 1956 Rosie at 9". Also this thing loves quarters. I did not buy the gold package but I will probably buy that coil soon. This machine is a lot different than my ace 250.

Noticed that I have the weight of the MXT and 705 listed in oz., that obviously is supposed to be lbs.

I've had mine 705 a year now. Love it but I did have a issue with it. Just to fill you in on the service I received. It stated to act real funky one day out of blue never had a problem before that. Call Minelab talked to customer service very friendly and helpful to get process started.Minelab paid all shipping charges. Took about a month for the whole turnaround. Replaced processor and button pad to fix problem all covered under warranty. I felt it was handled very well. JMO

Love my 705 and particularly the 18.75khz 5x10 and 6"DD coils. Their only misgiving is that they may be to sensitive to very tiny metal, which you will probably love if you are a prospector.
