705 find gold

I have A 705 was told with 3" coil it would find gold.
What do you think?
 
Do you mean the 3 kHz -9"concentric coil? All I can say is that it does go deeper than the higher frequency coils.

There aren't any 3-inch coils. If you are referring to frequency, although any of the coils will find basically anythng metal, the HF coils are better suited for gold than the other two freqs. HH Randy
 
Yep! The 6" 18.75kHz coil would be the one for particularly small gold.

I've found gold with a 3kHz coil, but that was entirely a fluke, and I don't realistically expect it to happen again.
