Rupcio

New member
Waiting for new detector 705, :twodetecting:

a what deep I can expected in silver coins in normal soil, and jewelry on salt wet sand?

Most of what depth you draw the coin? ( like penny, dime, half ? )

And tell me what was your deepest coin?

greetings

Rupcio

I am digging silver coins (40% silver) in Sweden that are the size of dimes and quarters at about 7-8 inches on dry beach sand. I use the 18.75 kh elliptical coil. I have dug other clad coins at what seems to be 10 inches (maybe a little more) in the same soil (though to be honest I have never tried to measure). I run in max sensitivity and threshold. I have learned not to trust the VID and to just listen to faint whispers/beeps and I dig everything that is not iron.

Lots of falsing in the wet salt, stay in the dry sand and it works lots better

Make sure the detector is in 'beach mode', ground balance it, and turn the sensitivity down to get rid of the false signals. Also leave Auto Tracking on, this will help keep the 705 stable in the wet sand.

I've found old silver and wheats every bit of 8" or more. I found an 1834 half dime at 8" and a few weeks ago a 1899 Barber quarter at 8-9".

nothing important was digging in a church parkin lot and about 1 foot 2 inches found a 2in-3in piece of rusty pipe TID was a solid 8 though lol i use AM.
