705 and 705 gold differences

Kicking around the idea of upgrading to a 705. Whats the difference between the gold package and the basic 705 ? Is the gold the same unit with the exception of "prospect" mode or is it programmed all together different? I wouldn't be using it for prospecting virgin gold, more for coins and jewelry, but if its all the same I'd get the one with more features.

The only difference is the coil. The gold comes with a 5x10 18.75 kHz coil and the regular comes with a 9inch 7.5khz

Thats kinda nda what I thought, but I have read other descriptions of the gold that had me thinking otherwise. My best bet would probably be the gold, than it would give me four different coils.

The gold coil is not waterproof. The gold doesn't come with 4 coils. I always liked the 6inch did coil. That little coil is sensitive to small items and does well on coins too. Out of all my coils it is one of my favorites. I have 6 or seven coils for mine.

I ment I already have three coils for my 505 so dont have a need for another stock 9". I also have the 6" DD but it doesn't come out too much after I picked up the 10.5 DD.

There isn't much difference in the 6 dd and the 5x10 except coverage. And the 5x 10 is not waterproof. The 10.5 is a great coil.
