When you use other frequency coils does the numeric id change on targets ? What is the best coil for coin and jewelery hunting ? And what is the best coil for beach hunting ?

Just ordered the 18.75klhz coil. I hear its good for beaches and jewlry. Will try it and let ya now. 7.5 stock coil is good for coins and some jewlry works very well. 3klhz i hear is good for silver and deeper coins.

I'm in Texas and when Im on the beach or coin shooting at the parks I use the stock coil. It has worked great and so far gets down to about 9 inches on pennys and dimes. I find quarters with ease too. Nickels are the nemesis for me right now as the tone and ID is close to aluminum shred. I have tried the DD 5x10 and It has not impressed me yet. I have a 10.5 18.75Khz coming for the beach and a 6" 7.5Khz coming in as well for testing. To learn the 705 i have found the stock coil after learning the machine and playing with the settings has yielded some good finds.

I use the stock coil at the beach and it really works well in AM mode. I just refresh the GB after sensitivity change and I dont get hardly any chatter in the wet sand or shallow surf.

What I want is the6" 18.75 Khz coil!

A buddy of mine has a MXT and we hunted a school yard today and the 705 held its own.

That 6" HF coil rocks. I was hunting the woods this weekend and brought the 6"...I pulled a 5 cent token at over 9" deep.
I was truly amazed and that was the deepest coin size target I have ever dug.

I don't know about the beach, (We hardly have any water in New Mexico much less beaches) but, the 9 " 3KHz rocks for me.
