7"x10" coil

l have a garrett 1250gtax-with a stock coil-8" with cover-a 10"hothead coil no cover-l would like to get a 7"x10" rhino coil-will it work on my 1250 gtax ?-thinking about trading both coils for the rhino-am l doing the wright thing ?

The 7x10 is made for the 1250 and Kellyco has it for $96.00. List is $120.00. I have not used the 7x10 or the Hothead coils. I`m not sure but i think the 7x10 would be the best all around coil. You may want to add the 4.5" coil too for the trashy areas and for getting close to fences ,playground equipment ,etc. Hope this helps.

The 7x10 would be an excellent choice for all around use.

The 8.5 inch crossfire II coil s still a great "do it all" coil.It pinpoints better than the 7x10 coil.
But don't use it for wading because you have to press it under water.
The 7x10 is better for wading and covers more ground per sweep.It is better made than the 8.5 coil.
In trash it is not as good as the 8.5 coil but gets more depth over clean ground.
So when to use what coil?
Parks and open fields: 7x10 Proformance
Parks and around old houses: 8.5 crossfire II.
Trashy sides around old houses and trees: 4.5 coil.
Beach and ground with high mineralisation: 10x 14 Proformance Power DD coil.
And sell that hot head coil !!!
