7 Silver Day

Nothing special in the finds, but always nice to have a multiple silver day. Also found 19 wheats which I'd rather not even dig, but they let me know I'm in the right spot. Hunting buddies found 6 Mercs, Barber dime, Barber Quarter and silver Washington. 16 Pieces of silver for the day isn't bad for 3 guys. This spot we're hunting is private property where we have permission and has turned up a lot of silver including 2 Barber Halves, a nice Walker, several nice Standing Liberty quarters including the nicest one I've found in 35 years and one of the nicest I've ever seen come out of the ground. It's a big space so I know we'll be going back many times.

Wow, you guys really cleaned up. Fantastic silver finds.

HOLY COW! I would love to have one of your "Nothing Special" days :clapping: Those are some great silver finds, thanks for sharing with us.

I know what you mean about digging the wheats. After a while they're only useful for dating a site and having a hope for silver. I like to dig those penny signals at homesites though because eventually you'll almost always find something cool and interesting digging "penny" signals. Tokens, religious medals, jewelry... lots of stuff like that can be found by digging what you think may be a penny.

My buddy dug a 1854 half dime with a 54 vdi. I missed it. he got it with a e-trac. At only 2 inches. He thought it was a zinc.
