Howdy all,
It's been dry and like concrete here, only detecting is construction hunting. Last few days we got a couple of good soakers.
Got permission last week from a friend who is selling his house. Built in 1904, probably oldest house on that block, and at a much higher elevation than the rest. Looks like they brought in a ton of fill.... Unless they dug out dirt for the entire rest of the neighborhood. Not sure which scenario makes less sense.
Didn't find much here or the other places I tried. Still pretty hot but at least not the accompanying flock of deer flies and mosquitoes that would present back in Minnesota.
I wasn't going to post this but noticed of the 20 wheats I dug there was a 1910,12,13,14,17,18,20. No mint marks, no duplicates.

The moral of this story: If you can't find something good, at least you can have fun with wheaties.
