Got permission to hunt a not so old Church yard. It was built in the early 1950's but to to my surprise it has never been hunted. I hunted close to 1/2 of the yard and will go back next week to see if any more goodies pop up. Ended up with :
1 one dollar coin year 2000
20 quarters which 3 were silver 1954, 57 and 59
25 dimes which 4 were silver 1943 merc, '48, 52 and 64 rosies
21 nickles which 3 were war nickles 1943, 44 and 45
86 pennies which 14 were wheaties ranged from 1941 to 55
Also found one silver bell with the little ringer still intact, two silver rings, one brass ring, one aluminum ring and one brass cross.
Included some pics of the coins, it felt good to find silver, it's been a long time. I used the 6"DD HF to work along the sidewalk and found one of the silver dimes, the '59 quarter and the big silver ring. The rest were found with the stock coil. My probe is 8" long that I use to locate the coins and some of the wheaties I found were first probed to find them, I could locate them with 1/2" to spare on the probe and the tone was soft but repeatable from all sides, this was with the stock coil. The 6" DD found that silver dime at 5 1/2" loud and clear. Thanks for looking. John
