7:15 am and its 23 below wind chill in Houghton Lake - and they still haven't closed the school

they aren't going to be seeing Casey in school today. It appears someone needs an education - and forcing kids to go outside to catch a bus in this kind of wind chill is not only a sign of 'lack of education' but it is illegal to willingly endanger the lives of children.

The temp without the wind isn 4 below zero and they are saying tomorrow will be colder yet. Anyone recall how people were metal detecting just after the new year because of no snow and warm temps???

over 100 schools were closed down this was last night. Too dangerous for kids to be out in these temps. Do I remember digging back in early January! Sure do! But why did ya have to remind me!

just the change in weather from January to February. Here it is 10:15 and they never closed the school and the weather people were using Houghton Lake as the worst place in Michigan for cold. Maybe I need to make the next school board meeting and explain cold weather facts.
