6X9 vs 9X12 250 Coil

I have a couple of questions about the two coils offered for the ACE 250:

1) How much depth is the 9X12 going to give as opposed to the 6X9 for coin sized objects?

2) I have heard that the 9X12 is a "slower sweep" coil. The faster you sweep the standard coil, the better depth. What is the word for the bigger coil?

Thanks...

The 9x12 will give you 2-3 inches plus more in depth. I've been digging ten inch plus quarters and some dimes close to that. It is a slow sweeper if you don't want to miss any targets or want to spend all your time scanning back to investigate all those beeps. It's a big coil with a big footprint and has a little slower target response and recovery. But if you're in a hurry with any coil you tend to miss targets.

you can sweep it slow for best depth or about the speed of stock coil and still pick up coins cover more ground.
