6X8 SEF-it's a keeper.

Today was my first time out to go detecting in quite awhile. I have had the 6X8 SEF coil for my MXT from JW at Kellyco for several months and really have been itching to give it a try. I have played around in my home doing air test and it would hit a dime at 9

That's such good depth for a coil that size. All the more reason I'm on a mission to snag one.

Congrats on the great button find , very nice . I have the 8x6 also and love it . I found a mercury dime at 9 inches and a wheat at 8 inches the first week I had mine out also . Not only that it makes my detector alot lighter and more balanced to handle . Great job congrats again .

Could someone please explain to me the actual dimensions of the coil? Is it two 8"x6" coils butterflied together? or is 8"x6" the overall outer dimensions? 6" tall by 8" wide?
I've tried to look online but can't find the details.
Thank you!

I measured mine to be sure and it actually measures 81/2 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide and 3/4 inch thick that's with coil cover on it . That is overall dimensions it works and is designed like a Double D coil .
