6x10 DD

For mineralization, no. For superior separation compared to the 9.5 or 12" and bigger a very definite yes IMHO.

Howdy JLW,
Im new too, and have had my 6x10 for 1 or 2 months ???
I havent used my mxt that much at all ,really, but when i was using the stock 950 coil,
I was getting alot of mixed responses ,(TRASHY)areas.
The last time I was out, I was in a REALLY TRASHY campground, I figured out how to swing the 6x10, and sort of rock it, over mixed signals.
It DEFINITELY seperated targets that were close to each other. It was one of those moments where I realized,I made the right decision.
And I really like it when that happens.
Especially, when my better half, kept askin "How do you like that new coil"?? Does it work like it's supposed too?":clapping: OH YEAH!!
Whites could use that in their ads,, "Keep the wife happy,Buy an MXT""
Thanks to this board, I have so far , made the right decision on purchasing
an MXT
the MXT Edge (book)
Garrets Pro pinpointer
and the 6x10 Coil
I wouldnt want to do this without ANY of them!
P.S. The book, will show test results ,on ALL coils, in ALL soil conditions,
The way I read it, the 950 is deeper than the 6x10, in none ,to low, to med mineralization but runs CLOSE.
The 6x10 excels in heavy mineralization soils, as far as depth.
But ,when in Trashy areas, The 6x10 will seperate targets, if you swing and manipulate it accordingly. So thats where it shines, in all types of soils
Good luck to ya.
and happy Hunting
