6X10 compared to the DD 10"

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has tried both coils and what they thought of the 10" DD coil? I use the the 6x10 as my primary but after sniping around with a 4x6 coil realized there was a bit of mass to the 6x10. Wondering if the 10"DD is lighter and any depth difference?
Hard to beat the pinpointing on the 6x10 though.......

Thanks and HH'ing,
Steve

The 6X10 is a lightweight compared to the 10DD....not that much really but when it is on the end of the rod, it is noticeable. Depth is considerably better because the 6x10 depth is said to be comparable to the smallest side, or equal to a 6 inch coil vs a 10" coil on the 10DD. I got about 2 more inches in depth when I moved up from the 6X10 to the 10"DD with my DFX.

They are both DD.

I have both and have found that the 10" doesn't handle the mineralized soil very well. When I get away from home and the mineralized soil, I use the 10" and get a little more depth.
