6T ??????

I see there is now a 6T; another Prizm?
It appears to be priced the same as the M6.
Why shouldn't one just buy the M6; it's priced rthe same
and besides the appearance, I don't see much difference?

6T has been around for a while now.
Differences, 6T lighter, different frequency 15Khz(m6) vs 8kHz, 3 filter(m6) vs 2 filter, 6T is $100 less than the M6.
Might be some other not so obvious differences as well.

Lighter weight, different display, notch discrimination, push pads rather than knobs to name a few more.

Limited to Prizm coils and it has it's own style of battery pack, to name a couple more.

I bought a 6T a couple of weeks ago for the following reasons;8kHZ( I have always had good luck with >10 kHZ, 6's my favorite), light weight, true notch( I don't notch much, but when I do I want to set it my way), easy ground balance, coil options( 9inch spider & 4x6 prizm shooter enough for me,now anyway),backlight for night hunting, ground tracking with lock, great target display, push button controls (good deal for me I'm clumsy), 9 tones, and target Id's in all metal mode. One other factor in my choosing the 6T is my dealer said it does very well in our NW Ark dirt.I have just started learning this machine, starting out with prizm shooter coin first. So far I am satisfied, but have much to learn. I am proud to have a whites detector again. The last one I had was a 6000D and it had no peers in the 80's. Happy hunting! Cal

I own and run the 6T down here in Australia ad use it on the goldfields for old coins and relics. I run the small original 8" coil on it, doesn't get caught up in sticks being solid. It works great in all the areas I have taken it no probs, even in the mineralised ground. Knocks out iron extremely well.
