6000d frequency

confuse the search coils with the more recent offerings. They don't work. White's made many models operating at 6.592 kHz, and later dropped the '2 to round it to 6.59 kHz, and then simplified it even more of recent by rounding to 6.6 kHz. The older models shared search oils, but since '88, those that came with or were compatible with the "Blue Max" series of coils used only them, not the older style. And the older models don't use the newer coils.

I just mention this because frequently we read of folks buying coils based simply on the detector's operating frequency.
